Megan A. Smith Associate
Training and experience in banking, human resources and the law have propelled Megan Smith to be recognized very early in her legal career as a patient and passionate client advocate with an exceptional talent for listening to a client's needs, uncovering the smallest of relevant details and finding the right solution. This combination makes Megan a highly valued member of the litigation team at Schuyler, Roche & Crisham, specializing in commercial and employment litigation and securities litigation.
As part of a human resources' internship while still at college, Megan had the opportunity to work closely with an employment law attorney and was quickly drawn to client advocacy. Prior to attending law school at Loyola University of Chicago (J.D. 2010), Megan spent two years as a personal banker and bank manager, honing her client service skills while developing a substantive understanding of financial planning, investments and lending that would ultimately lead to her focus in securities litigation.
If there is a common thread throughout Megan's professional development and impressive early legal career, it is her tireless commitment to solving a client's needs. In addition to her extensive client work in banking and employment law, Megan devoted considerable time throughout her law school years and continues her volunteer work with a not-for-profit agency in Chicago called Ladder Up, through which she prepares tax returns for low income families.
Client advocacy, combined with a deep appreciation for and understanding of employment and securities litigation and the ever-changing legal landscape, are Megan's powerful motivation to excel. And it is her clients at Schuyler, Roche & Crisham who will continue to benefit.
